Good Friday?
Well, I have no idea if this is a good one or not. Most of my accounts are giving me a hard time. I've had to copy the boss on so many emails that she said "ok, enough email from you today." I should tell you that this boss sends out so many emails she drives the entire department nuts.
They also let everyone skip lunch and go home at 3 today. Well, I intentionally came in late and went to lunch because I wanted the time alone to have the printer to myself, and then her boss told her everyone HAD to go at 3....even she planned to stay till 3:30. Well, I talked to him and he said we can stay if we want to, phew! So, there aren't many people around and I can work alone till 5:30 as I had planned. Crisis (and short paycheck) averted!
My mom is being a little funny. I'm sure it's the upcoming holiday and Dad not being around so I'm being patient....for now anyway. Anyone who knows me well knows my patience has a limit. It seems like it's especially short with mom, and I don't like that I'm that way but she and I have always had our rough spots. My Dad used to be the one to smooth it out, and my poor sis has been the one in the middle now.
Well, I think this weekend I'll have everyone over for cake since I didn't do that for Justin't birthday because of the pneumonia. Maybe I'll do it on Easter since we have obedience training on Saturday. We're pretty casual and it's just Mom, Laura and me, so it's not like it's fancy and I have to plan. I'll invite the neighbors too probably (gotta get the cake out of the house quick somehow).
Anyway, nothing too exciting. I don't know if we're going out to dinner or not. It's always a toss-up with mom lately, despite the fact we'd been going to dinner on Friday nights for the last 7 years or so whether Dad was home or not. "Just let it go" is my sister's new mantra. I guess I should try it.
