Passed Away
My dad had surgery all day yesterday and he didn't make it through. Thanks to all of you who sent your prayers. I really can't say more than that right now....I just felt that I owed it to those of you who prayed to let you know the outcome.

Valerie, I am so sorry. Having lost a parent I was close to, I know what you're going through. Nothing I can say will take the pain away. Just know he is now at peace and hold close the memories. I'll be thinking of you and praying for you and the family as you deal with your loss. Big hugs and let me know if there's anything I can do, even if just listen.

Thanks to all of you for your kind words. It's very difficult on all of us since Dad took care of my mom, sister and me. Since my divorce I always joked that he had 2 wives now, and he was also the only male figure in my son's life. Thanks again for your sentiments as well as your prayers.

Valerie- I am so sorry for your loss. Hold the happy memories close and you will get through this one moment at a time. It has been 3 years since my mom passed and there are times when I still miss her desperately - especially during the holiday season. You know you have all our support!
