32 doesn't feel so different
Ok, so yesterday was my birthday and I survived it. It was exactly 3 months from when I lost my dad, and 13 years since I lost my grandfather. I got through it though. I leaned too heavily on comfort foods I should have stayed away from, and I'll need to make a plan to deal with that situation in the future. My stomach didn't like all those foods either!
My friend Tammy sent me some flowers. They probably aren't great for my allergies, but they're pretty.
Well, Hope asked how I met Matt, and as much as I hate to admit it, we met online. We talked for awhile before we met and even though I sure didn't plan to, we clicked. He lives in Birmingham and I'm in Chattanooga, so there's quite a distance there but not an unbearable one. So, to be fair I can understand if he's too tired to drive 2.5 hours for a date and then drive 2.5 hours home. I just wish he wouldn't ask me then back out. He gets that now that I've explained it. I think he might come this Saturday, but I'm not going to hold my breath. When Justin is gone camping for a weekend, I'll drive down there. I just can't stay very long because my dogs can't wait as long to go out as I'd like....but we could catch a movie or something. He mentioned possibly looking for a job and apartment in Chattanooga, but I told him honestly that it might be too soon for anything like that. He doesn't have family or anything in Birmingham that he'd be leaving behind, but I'd still hate for him to relocate this early, and I don't think he really wants to either. We'll take our time and see what happens.
Laura is going to be on time to teach our class tonight. That's good, because I'm lacking in energy and those kindergarteners can really take it out of you. Usually she's 30-45 minutes late. Justin and I even stayed home from scouts last night. That's very unlike me but I was so tired....probably from eating unhealthy foods. Anyway, I'll have to eat better from now on.
